Sugar Beets

Sugar Beets contain a lot of sugar, so this would be an obvious place to start looking for other things to make alcohol/vinegar out of.

There are some commercially available alcohol's made from the sugar beet molasses, so it is possible... but I want to try doing it myself before I say it's a viable solution.

The main problem I see with this method is it will stain the food a dark color. Probably not very appealing, but as a survival technique doable.
