A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

If you look at horrible tragedies in depth, some new types of information might appear that you never though of.

A good example of this for me is the 9/11 tragedy. While a horrific event, one thing that really stood out to me is while local phone exchanges were clogged, you could still get through to out of state numbers.

In an emergency, you could use this to your advantage. Pick a relative out of state as a 'home base' everyone can call and relay messages.r
