A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

Meditation

Meditation is a good tool to use in stressful situations...

I don't know if it matters so much what type of meditation you do, but being able to quickly focus your mind in a stressful situation is a valuable skill.

This pandemic has really opened my eyes about how important it is to be able to control your emotions in stressful situations. Look at all the craziness in the world right now. People freaking out about everything, demanding their rights to do whatever they want, even if it kills them. If we weren't in a 'pandemic lite' I can't imagine how bad things would get with people locked up for a long time.

Being able to focus your mind and deal with problems would help in stressful situations.

We all feel the stress of the situation (believe me I feel like shouting at the kids 'what the heck is wrong with you' about 10 times a day)... this is normal. What is not is letting these feelings out in a rage.
