I can hear it now. Half the readers are groaning and face palming themselves, getting ready to hit the back button. Not another bag to pack!


Wake up! Stuffs happening.

If you woke up and the house was on fire, what would you do?
Maybe put on some pants and grab your phone. (we all sleep with our phone. Don't we?)
Wake the wife and kids.
As someone who is interested in preparedness you probably have a plan on how to exit the house. Fire extinguisher, or rope ladder from a window.

Once your outside, call the fire department. Maybe rendezvous at a preset destination. Now what?

This is the situation the WUSH bag is designed for. A simple bag packed and situated beside you bed. Grabbing it will add no extra time to your escape, but will drastically make you life easier after the fact.

Spare keys, Hard and digital copies of important documents, First aid kit, flashlight, Cell phone battery and charger are all going to come in handy soon.



Deal with it.

In the situation above, you will have drastically increased your possibilities. Instead of waiting for the fire department, maybe you grab your spare keys from the bag and pull the car out of the driveway or garage (if it's safe). That alone should make your life easier.

Again as someone who likes to be prepared you probably have items in your car that will help your situation. Shoes, bigger first aid kit etc. In a pinch you can sleep in your car, or use it to stay warm in the winter.

If not, have cash or a credit card will help get you where you need to go.

After the situation is over, replacing all your document will be easier if you have copies of existing ones. In order to replace a drivers license you need a government form of id. This can be circuitous if you have no ID to begin with.








So many of the preparedness points we discuss are meant give you an edge when dealing with disasters. Statistically, the chance of you having a fire or hurricane are pretty low. I admit that the probability is this bag is going to sit in your bedroom, doing nothing your entire life.
